WOMEN IN BEER

Tri-Eagle Sales Hosts Women in Beer Event

Influential Women Who Are Changing the Beer Culture Highlighted

Tallahassee, FL — In support of American Craft Beer Week, May 14-20, Tri-Eagle Sales will host a unique event highlighting women in the beer industry on Tuesday, May 15, with guest speakers Susie Busch-Transou, co-owner of Tri-Eagle Sales, and Cathy Steen, Chief Operating Officer at Grayton Beer Company.

It’s no secret that women drink beer. But the numbers of women breaking into the male-dominant beer industry has increased year after year. Women brew, package, sell, and market a wide variety of beers. Across the U.S., hundreds of women are owners, co-founders, or influential beer decision-makers in the industry — and many are just beer enthusiasts who love and appreciate a cold brew.

Busch-Transou is no stranger to the beer industry. Her family roots go back to the 1870’s, when the Budweiser brand was first introduced. She and her husband, Tripp Transou, are owners of a local Anheuser-Busch and other specialty beverage distributor, Tri-Eagle Sales. Busch-Transou will share her perspective on being born and raised in the beer industry. “The beer industry is hospitality at its best. Our team serves our community with a line-up of diverse products of beer, wine, and spirits. We understand every taste profile is different, and we celebrate the diversity of our women owned brewery partners, retailers, and consumers who have contributed to the diversity of beer!” says Busch-Transou.

Steen is an accomplished business leader with more than 25 years of experience launching and growing luxury brands in the wine and spirits industry. She says, “I can remember being the only woman in the room, then boardroom, for most of my working life in wine and spirits. That is changing, and so too for beer. I am delighted to see that beer suppliers, distributors, and accounts realize the power of women as decision-makers and content contributors. Diverse workforces deliver better innovation, product development, and marketing, which helps all of us attract more consumers and sell more beer!”

The event will also be a specialty release party for a newly anticipated brand, 30A Rose Gose from Grayton Beer Company.
