November 27, 2023

(Tallahassee, FL) Anheuser-Busch and local beverage wholesaler Tri-Eagle Sales are providing more than 2,300 cans of emergency drinking water to local fire departments as they continue to protect our communities and prepare for future wildfire relief efforts.

With volunteers comprising 67% of firefighters in the United States, they are local communities’ first line of defense in a range of emergencies. However, they often operate with limited resources and staff. For these local heroes, clean drinking water is essential to ensure that they can perform their best when protecting our communities.

Tripp Transou IV, Director of Business Development for Tri-Eagle Sales, shared, “In times of emergency, local firefighters are our first line of defense. Tri-Eagle Sales and Anheuser-Busch proudly stand with these selfless heroes by supplying emergency drinking water to our local fire departments. We are honored to do our part to support our first responders in their continuing efforts to keep our beloved communities safe.

The emergency drinking water donated was sourced from Anheuser-Busch’s brewery in Cartersville, Georgia, which periodically pauses beer production to can clean and safe drinking water to be delivered to communities in times of need.

“Firefighters work very hard and under extreme conditions during high-intensity responses such as wildfires. As a result, they lose large amounts of fluid and proper hydration is critical to ensure the safety of our firefighters and to keep them performing at their best,” said Lieutenant Jim Roberts with the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department.

Fire Chief Clay Fallis, Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department, stated, “It is with our deepest thanks to the National Volunteer Fire Council, Anheuser-Busch, and Tri-Eagle Sales for selecting our department. Thanks to their donation we have the resources to keep our firefighters and those we respond with hydrated and ready to respond.”

The Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department will share this much needed resource with several other departments in the area that respond and provide mutual aid to each other on a regular basis.

Tri-Eagle Sales has a long history of giving back to the community, actively providing charitable contributions, and volunteering for local causes as a family-owned beverage distributor. For more information about Tri-Eagle Sales’ community efforts, visit www.trieaglesales.com.
